Hot topic Selling kandi??

It has recently come to my attention that Hot topic is now selling "kandi" this makes me really sad because Kandi is a symbol of plur and friendship, but now Hot topic is selling it What are you guy's opinions because I really hate it

It's not new. They've been selling it (on and off) for years, but it's not really kandi. It's just pony bead bracelets.

i love the store but hate the quality of their items and the fact that they r doing that. i dont have a problem if someone is selling it for a good reason but a big corp. doing it out of pure greed, and taking advantage of a trend like that i can't stand. i think that it's better if it's made by hand because it not only has more sentimental value, but it is better quality. hottopic has a rep of stuff that breaks,fades,frays.ect. all to quickly.

I loathe it!!!!!!!!!!! That shit isn't kandi, it's factory made. It's not made from the heart, it's made for profit. Kandi comes from the heart with peace, love, unity, and respect. Hot topic shit (I'm not calling it kandi) comes from a lady/machine who gets paid $12 an hour/oiled every day. Now if you're selling it for a good reason, its a different story, but making it out of greed... it's just not right. But as I always say, nothing can stop anybody from selling kandi.

Like everyone else said, if its for greed then its stupid and worth nothing but if you make it yourself or a friend makes it, its special and sentimental. I find it pure Bullcrap that they are selling it. I went into there store in August and I saw a mustache bracelet and they wanted like 8$ for it and I felt so uneasy being near something like that so I just got what I wanted from Hot Topic and left~ Its annoying but I don't think we can do too much about it. Like ZOEMONSTAR said, why buy something that you can make so easily?

i went in there today because i needed pikachu ears and a tail and they had a skull and crossbones beaded bracelet the only difference is that it was all round beads like tiny globes it was solid red and black

I found out about kandi from Hot Topic selling cuffs. I don't like the idea since i spent a long time making the one cuff and then i went to Hot Topic and saw the same exact one. I still love Hot Topic though. It's the only store i buy clothes from with my own money.

lol stores sold wayyyyyy b4 kandi was ever kandi and will sell cuff and such long after. and kandi is more than friendship and trading. has more meaning than that to those who live in the culture. if stores/people wanna sell, let em. not gonna hurt the culture or what kandi is one bit lol

I seen that recently as well since I am planning on using their handy-dandy Hot Cash thingies. I don't really think its kandi even though I overeheard a pre-teen herd giggle about how they're such kandi kids since they all bought that cuff you mentioned. (I was more surprised the kids knew what kandi was.) You buy jewelry. You make kandi. The "kandi" at HotTopic doesn't have the same significance. Nothing to get worked up over.
