Best kind of string to use on a skirt?

I want to make a layered x base skirt and I was wondering what is the best size string to use. If you have made a skirt how much horror (sitting, walking, dancing, standing, ect.) it has been through without breaking.

I would use either .5mm Stretch Magic OR Fishing ling for the like, thingies that hang down, then .7 or 1mm Stretch Magic for the waistband. Hope I helped, and i've never made one these are just mai opinions.

Fishing line for the actual skirt because it is more secure then stretchy string and stretchy string for the "waist" part so it stretches and fits a bit more comfortable :3

Mine is being made out of embroidery string. But it also doesn't go all the way around, its going to have ribbon tie it together.

i haven't made a kandi skirt yet, but i am soon. I think u should make the par that goes around ur waist in stretch string only around ur waist and then make the rest out of fishing line so it doesn't break
