Help (question mostly for transmasc people/cis guys)

doublezero 5/11/2021 06:07 pm 1292

So I'm a trans boy and this school year we didn't have to change for gym (whew). But next school year we will. Thankfully my school is supportive and will let me change in the boys locker room, but I'm extremely nervous. So I was wondering if any transmasc people who have changed in men's spaces have any advice, or cis men have any advice of like, locker room etiquette i guess. (Obviously if anyone else has any tips they can add in too I'm just assuming they'll have more advice. Also I'll be in 8th grade next year if it matters at all).

:OO hi!! an important thing is your body language, you have to act like you belong there (which you do!!) confidence is key, also pack with socks or something and dont look at other dudes while they get dressed ajsdkhf

@tr4gg0t: Thank you! I've definitely been thinking about packing even though I don't do it very often rn. I want to get an stp/packer but one of my friends would have to get it for me because my parents aren't really supportive and probably don't want me to a get something that looks so, uh, realistic. But I can pack with a sock if it comes down to it. I've been using kt tape for binding when exercising, and it is a nude color, but wearing a tank top is a good idea. Also, they give out athletic shirts/shorts to change into, but we can bring anything as long as we can move in it and we actually change, so I could just wear a tank top/shirt beneath my regular clothes if I wanted. Sorry for such a long reply. Thank you!
