when selling kandi, do you guys think it's okay to use other people's patterns? how should i go about that?

so, im starting an online shop for my kandi soon, and i was thinking about doing patterned stuff! i see people selling patterned cuffs all the time, and then it hit me that not everyone will want their patterns used for stuff that's being sold. i personally wouldn't have a problem with it for my own patterns, they're free to use and people can do what they want with them. i know a lot of others dont mind, too. but i was wondering how i should go about selling patterned cuffs; if i should ask permission, if i should just list it and say that if the pattern creator wants it taken down i'll take it down, anything like that. just not sure, you know? anyways, if you guys could give some advice that would be great im really excited for my shop to get set up!
