MLP Gen 5 Opinions?

So I am autistic and my special interest is My Little Pony, specifically the 4th generation (though I do collect another gens as well). I know that it's a tradition and all to make a new gen every decade or so but I can't help but be disappointed with the new generation Make Your Mark. It seems that they lowered their target audience age even more and the designs of the characters, setting, colors, plotlines and everything just seems so unappealing honestly. As it's my spin, I am really sad about the future of MLP. But I want to know others' opinions.

its my special interest too and i HATE gen 5, its supposed to be a continuation of gen 4 but they left out so much lore??? where are the other creatures? what happened to ponyville and canterlot and all the places from gen 4 did it get destroyed? are they outside of equestria?? why dont cutiemarks work the same way??? also the 3d animation is just gjntrjfnvgjfjn i cant stand it, the 2d shorts series looks better but not by much and the writing is eeehhhhh... i know its aimed at only children now and not for everyone like gen 4 was but i dont think i would like this even if i was still a kid.

yeah, i am rainbowdash along with it being my special interest as well and it just makes me so,,, sad. they did em dirty. its so sad that theres barely any g4 toys in the stores i wish it didnt exist

@SleepiTawn: exactly! The characters 1. dont have any connection with their cutie marks or the elements of harmony and 2. they are annoying and arent memorable!

i am absolutely not a fan. the designs look ugly and like generic 3D kids movie characters, they stopped making the show for everyone to enjoy like G4, and they basically disrespected G4 by removing 90% of it from the show despite it SUPPOSED to be a sequel to G4. like, why make every race of pony randomly hate eachother even though they've lived in harmony for centuries? where are the zebras? where is literally every other race besides ponies?

Not a fan either I dont like designs a whole lot and it definitely lost its charm. Also its sad that the toys aren’t very good either they always feel cheaply made and theres a really small section now (in my store atleast) Also the characters in the show aren’t the most memorable either like gen 4 had different characters with different personality traits but gen 5 seems to play it safe with the characters. Idk thats my take on it. I dont plan on watching any more gen 5 stuff since i dont have the highest hopes for it

i personally am not a fan of the gen 5, i tried watching it but i just cant. to me, for some reason, it seems more like a rip off of gen 4. in honest words, i hate it. they couldve done better
