Genuine question for people who use they/them

so i use they them, but i am usually called he/him and i see people evrywhere saying "theydies and gentelthems" and like "themfriends" instead of boyfriend/girlfriend. Personally i find it a little weird because its usually used to refer to non binary/ gender non conforming people, and i kinda dont like the terms used because its stripping everything away from people who use the pronouns to just they.them. Idk if that makes sense but i jyst want ur opninon on it bc idk i just do

idk it‘s pretty annoying. i just prefer friend, partner, and significant other (i identify as a demigirl but my pronouns are they/she/he)

I think it’s funny when people say “theyfriend” and stuff like that for me because I use they/them pronouns but yeah it’s weird to say that to a person who is non-binary/gender nonconforming bu doesn’t use they/them pronouns

(btw I’m not speaking on behalf of EVERYONE who uses they/them I know some of u guys don’t like terms like “theyfriend” which I can understand)

for "theyfriend" or "theirfriend" thats so stupid ??? i've heard "joyfriend" which is at least a little better but eh... literally how hard is it for someone to just say "partner" like its genuinely easier to say "partner" or "S/O" ?!?!@?!@?!@?

as for theydies and gentlethems it just sounds fricking stupid tbh but idk how to describe how else i feel about it ig it's mixed ?? like theydies could be for feminine enbys and gentlethems could be for masculine enbys but its still stupid and forces binary on us ig ??? /gen idk ,, maybe ask someone if they wanna be called that / referred to as that before actually doing it bc i can guarantee that the person will not be comfy with it .

I think it sounds dumb as hell. "themfriend" literally just say partner or something. People who say shit like that are always "allies" who fish for recognition from lgbt people
