tired of forums becoming social media

i mean this in the nicest way possible, but i'm sick of 13 year olds on this website treating it like a diary or a social media. forums are not the same as social media, this is a KANDI website, not a place to vent about genuinely heavy topics (they literally have a banner saying this before you post a thread) or kin or whatever.

i know there are edge cases of people not being allowed real social media, but this is meant to be a lighthearted site to talk about a specific common interest, not how much you hate your parents or how you want a new partner.

@gasky: i don't care about "random stuff", i care about kids from age 12-15 showing how vulnerable they are on website where anyone could join. maybe venting in public worked for you as a kid, but this is a FORUM, not a social media like deviantart.

there literally are rules against posting about triggering topics, there's no "if the owner dislikes it", she's literally had to put the rules up when you post a thread and people still post personal and/or upsetting things anyway

last of all, i vented and was very vulnerable online as a kid too, and it got me catfished(!) and emotionally abused. not everyone has a perfect online experience as a naive child and we need to keep this in mind when this many people are putting themselves in danger

ONG! im so uncomfortable seein posts askin for partners like,,, helllloooo?? this is the world wide web?? not the best place to b tryna hook up w ppl plus these ppl r 12-14 :/

im chill w ventin but ik the vast majority of ppl on this site r not so i think the posts askin to vent in dms or jus havin ONE post for a buncha ppl to vent instead of like 50 posts that r all like "i hate my life!!" floodin the forums is somewhat ok?? idk im biased cuz ive vented on here once or twice (nothin too x-treme, old friend problems n hallucinations) but its rly scary seein ppl who have like,, talked abt going: x_x jus openly

im honestly thankful for the disclaimer abt heavy topics when makin a post cuz back when i first joined in may 2021 more than half the forum was ppl talkin abt s/h n eds n i felt rly off bein on this site b4

remember when everybody was givin out their locations in the forums jus to make friends??? like wtf jus go outside to the mall or sum ur bound to find ppl w similar interests w our havin to d0xx urself LMAO

sum ppl on this site rly have no common sense thats so dangerous, like at the end of the day no matter how comfy u r on this site were all jus strangers on da other side of a screen!! its so stupid smh

@CoNN13Killz: i aint ever seen anybody on this site younger than 12 (which isnt this site 13+?.....) so everybody here should know the dangers of sharin info online, adults have been drilling this shit into kids minds the second they get sum shitty little amazon kids tablet for christmas its jus common knowledge, theres no possible excuse anybody could come up w for not knowin the dangers of the internet
