I have a three part question for y'all, having to do with the string you use. 1.) What is your preferred stringing material? I know lots of people use fishing line, but I think I'd end up cutting myself on the string before I'd finish a piece. I use 0.7 mm elastic cord, sometimes 1.0, but sometimes I feel as if that string is too thick. 2.) When you make a BIG piece, do you use one super long piece of string, or do you use shorter pieces and tie more on as you go? I use a super duper long piece, which can get annoying because it takes like 5ever to pull all the string through, and it get knotted and tangled every now and then. I absolutely hate having to tie more string on because I always fear that the string will come undone and it messes with the "structural integrity" of the piece, to sound smart or some nonsense. 3.) Lastly, how often do you tie off you string? Some people tie off after every row, but that would bother me. I'd be afraid I didn't pull the string tight enough and I'd have some loose, wonky parts of my piece. I just tie off at the beginning and end of making my pieces. Only rarely do I tie off in the middle of a piece, and even then I only do it every few rows. Sorry for posing such a long, ridiculous question. I'm just curious.
