In my dream

im running away from something and when i cant run i hide

and when ever i hide the thing stops where i can see it and has something or someone i love and threatens to destroy it

when ever i try to go out to save it everything goes black and i just see a pair of big red eyes, but like a maroon red nor a bright red, then i wake up

the one time i made it to the person i loved the thing that chases me stabbed me and i woke up with a sharp pain in my side and my mom X-Rayed it and it showed scar tissue that wasnt there before

(I might not see any comments imma be camping till monday)

I dont know much about dreams. because mine are mostly dream shifts, or story almost. And I like to study dreams because I think they're interesting how our brain tries to tell us things. Visions almost with dreams. Like with Therians and their dream shifts. Or how we have happy cheerful dreams due to peacefulness, and being happy when your awake, and how you either forgot your dream fast or remember it like it was 2 seconds ago (I just think the human brain is fascinating, sorry, geeking out, back to topic)

But I know what it's like to have night terrors and nightmares ofc, so I do know WHY they happen. Most Nightmares can happen for a number of reasons Such as:

stress, anxiety, irregular/lack of sleep, medications, mental health disorders, and or Trauma. Most nightmares & night terrors are pretty much a warning about your physical or mental health.

Ik some about running away from something. My THREOY is either, you feel threatened but don't truly know or understand the source of the threat, or that you are just, scared. Stress. And You don't know what to do besides run away.

(this is just a theory 2 btw) With the creature & destroying part, I think it most likely means that you're scared of losing someone/something you love. Then when everything turns black, Might be a sign of fear that if you try helping someone/something you love, You fail.

Im not sure about the scar though. With most of my night terrors and nightmares I have, I usually end up with horrible headaches, or major pain in my legs, from running or heavy breathing. But everyone is different (Believe it or not) so Im not sure why. There might be a possibility that your brain didn't process it when you got the scar, then did after you had your dream. Or something happened when you were asleep. But those are only theories. (I like theories)

Hope this helped!! kao happy

@Glitchy_XDD: those are interesting theories ngl.

i talked to @_Trix_abt this and we figured out that we both view the same "entity" (lets call it that since it basically is a entity)

i personally have schizophrenia and i like drawing my hallucinations to understand it and vent draw. i showed them what one of my main hallucination was and it's the same as the thing in there nightmares/terrors.

when this "entity" appears i'm normally awake than asleep but it stands and watches me in my room. sometimes it'll walk around my room and just stare at me. it will hiss when i get too close but if i move to far it'd move closer to me. it's always tied up in this white jacket, it looks like a insane asylum outfit. it smiles when it notices that i'm scared and says: "i'm you.. i'm you.. i'm you" and repeats it over and over again, louder louder until i'm crying and it'd run threw me and disappear. i'll have a panic attack while my lungs slowly stop working until i just fall asleep. i wake up and i can barely breath.

if you'd like i can show you the drawing. i'm mainly just curious on why @_Trix_ and I are connected like this?

@feelz: haha those theories were built up other the years because I just have terrible nightmares/terrors since I was really young (like 4 the first ime I remember my nightmares becoming worse)

But Im not sure why you both might be experiencing the same "entity" Maybe because you two are a couple? Or possibly how close you too are? But hallucinations & dreams are not so different. Dreams & hallucinations are both from your brain trying to tell you something. Mostly due to anxiety, trauma etcetc. The only difference really Is one happens when we awake, and the other does not. So maybe its a meshing dream type of thing? though dreams most of the time have a storyline of some sort, where as hallucinations are typically brief images or sounds.- But as I said, All people are different, And I can't say much about the hallucinations Because I only experienced hallucinations when I was starving to death & around the same time I lost someone (long story) and I don't remember much from it-

Maybe seeing your drawings of the "entity" might help? I can always look into this stuff & my theories, and see what I can do!

@Glitchy_XDD: it might be bc we're a couple but idk how that would make sense?

Jun 9, 2023 12:32 am

@feelz: I never experienced something like this, But most of the time, Dreams/nightmares/terrors don't make much sense. (at least the ones I experience, and that's really the only thing I'm going off of & stuff on the internet. And you cant exactly trust the web) And Im comparing hallucinations to dreams to help me understand hallucinations better, as of rn, Im looking into it. There are not many studies I can find (especially when I can only look at stuff on a school Chromebook) about meshing dreams. But Im still looking!!

My main theory as of now is that It's most likely a meshing dream/hallucination of some sort? but I'm not sure if hallucinations & dreams can be mixed. & if hallucination meshing is a thing-

@Glitchy_XDD: yeah, i've done my research and there's not a lot of info on it sadly. i'm just confused..

Jun 9, 2023 12:48 am

@feelz: Its ok to feel confused, I get it! And it sucks, but im not very surprised there's not much on things like this, Its not common, and everyone, is well, different. So everyone experiences things differently, Best thing we can do is compare & theories. Human brains are very complex.

@feelz: That sounds a lot like sleep paralysis.

@Glitchy_XDD: its not just a once in a month dream, it happenes every night there are like 2 times out of each month where i have a good dream

@feelz: It could be the embodiment of something for you, my therapist told me mine might be the embodiment of the things i went through when I was a kid
