I don't know if this is a really good place to post this but like does anybody have any arm exercises I could do in the morning and night without waking my parents up or taking tooooo long? I've been doing 20 pushups before I sleep and 10 when I wake up. (And ever once in a while ill do in the morning five of the like wall corner push ups????) I've been wanting to get stronger arms for quads, and to just have strong looking arms so yeah any and all help is welcomed and invited obviously 62642342eb135_rainbow_horsy.gif

You could do radio taiso! It's a simple and slow-paced Japanese exercise, that is often done to a steady rhythm. You can spin your arms forward and back, stretch them side to side, or other things!

I developed muscle in my arms just from following YouTube workouts with dumbbells, but it’s harder if you don’t have any weights. There are lots of different push up variations and some work different muscles better than others (sorry if you already know this). If you make them narrower, they work your triceps more. If you do them with your feet on a chair they become harder - decline push ups. If you do them with your hands on a chair, they become easier - incline push ups. Push ups aren’t as good for biceps though. Do you have anything you can curl? Or any type of bar where you could safely do chin ups?

You can also do triceps dips on the edge of a chair. For your shoulders you might be able to shoulder press tins of beans or something, because shoulders only need light weights to start anyway. Be very careful with your shoulders because injuries happen easily with them.

Why does this have to be a secret from your parents though? Couldn’t you say you want to get stronger and then maybe they’d help you get some equipment? I am not sure it’s safe to be doing this entirely on your own. Please make sure you have correct form. This isn’t formal fitness or medical advice. Watching closely for any dangerous advice

@Crumpet: Thank you a ton, its not that im trying to hide i just dont want to bother my parents, and before bed and im the morning are the best times for me to do so. Ill make sure to be careful also. Also im pretty sure my step dad either would complain im trying to be 'too manly', or be a werido about it so id rather he just not know of it. Once again thank you for the advice!

You can find no-equipment upper body workouts like this on YouTube. This is a trainer I really like. I am not sure if 15 mins is too long for you, but it’s still very short for a workout and you will probably need it to be that length if you want to build muscle. 5 mins here and there isn’t going to grow much muscle.

@KANDIIZKEWL: ah okay that’s good, I realized after I sent it that maybe you were just trying to be quiet. Yeah, sometimes certain parents can be weird about it. But it takes a lot of time, effort, and food to develop significant muscle so it’s not like you’d become super manly from it anyway. People just don’t get it. They think you’ll lift one weight and become Arnold.
