The biggest debate... what are your feelings on selling kandi.?

I feel that kandi is an art and every artist loves to be rewarded for their hard work... and some backgrounds just can't afford to give away kandi... the materials aren't free.... I'm just saying....

i do see that the younger folks have a bigger problem with this issue though. most of us older folks have a give and take attitude on the matter (1st gen kandi kids). and come on wearing kandi to school invites ppl to question it, that then sparks the thought in they're haed of going out and buying it lol if u dont rave but just make kandi, y take such a radical approach to the though of ppl buying kandi lol. If an individual wants to sell thats fine, might not b what i or others would do but thats for each person to decide for themselves ^.^

i personally do not sell "kandi" i believe they should make it themselves if they want it that bad and i DO trade with my friends who make it but i do not have that many. a lot of people asked me to make them something at school which i do NOT do but i do make singles for my close friends.

i see it like this, kandi is made for raves traded at raves. braclets and such made outside of the culture aren't kandi in my eyes. and really some folks cant or arent able to make stuff, so y shouldn't they b able to buy them? PLUR as many would through out there wont b harmed by somone selling kandi and making a new friend. i RESPECT people and they're decision to do what they want with the things they make ^.^ and i do agree with Crumpet, makes for nasty arguements and fights that aren't nessecary.

Lol, some old comments of mine from when I was testing this feature made it onto this question. Sorry about that love struck I would prefer that people didn't sell kandi, but mainly I just don't like when people insult each other over it. I don't like the drama it causes. I also see different levels when it comes to selling kandi. People selling mass quantities for maximum personal profit are the worst. Selling kandi for charity is the least offensive, and is acceptable under most circumstances. Somewhere in between the two are the kids who sell kandi to get a few dollars for more supplies. Because they're not the worst, I don't give them a hard time over it.

I believe in selling your stuff. I'm a college student and my parents wont let me get a job and I need money. I sell mostly big pieces, not just stupid little multi's that anyone could make. I think if anyone can make it then there is no need for it. So I only sell big items unless im trying to get rid of them when I specifically made them for an event and no one wanted them.

I am thoroughly against it. I don't give it away "for free" I trade for things of equal value to me. i.e. Make me a cuff and I'll make you one as well For example, I made the first cuff for a friend of mine, and she made the second one for me in return.
