Ok so,,,,, I LOVE politics!!!! itz my special interest rn and i rlly luv sharing meh political views while learning abt otherz!!!! but guess. wat.... all my friendz r emo/e-kidz!!!!!!! and guess what.... THOSE MOTHAFLUFFAHS ACT LIKE THEIR ALLGERGIC TO POLITICZ!!! and i just kinda naturally attract other alt kiddos but once i try talking abt meh special interest they stop talking 2 meh ( and somedays i want to meet other scene people AND want them to not hate me for liking polticz!!! i get it if ur a centrist and dont like politics but i SWEAR i cannot bring up my special interest with any of my friends and its literally killing meh!!! why r politicz so frowned apon in the alt community?? (im left-wing btw)

@xXToasted_treasureXx: Hii, I honestly agree! AT LEAST when it comes to scene and emo! (I wouldn't say punk though, heck, when I search up "Punk backgrounds" they're filled head to toe in "FUCK DA POLICE"- XDD) Honestly I feel like you can have any political opinions and be scene/emo as long as you listen to the music like- You could have the political opinion of- idk, exploding the ocean and all it's life so we can build a "puppies with knives for paws" factory and still be emo... An emo with questionable morals, but an emo nonetheless- XD

Hii, scene kid here! The main reason why I don't like politics is cause I just hate arguing- For one, I'm a Christian (You can probably guess my political beliefs- But ig that depends on your idea of Christians?) so like, a lot of my political beliefs are kindaaa... Inarguable if that makes sense? Like you'd have to convert me before you can get me to change my opinion, lol- So there's just no point in arguing cause it's not even a personal opinion issue, it's a divine purpose issue, y'know? Second, I don't like to argue unless I believe I can actually change the person I'm arguing with's opinion and with politics, I just believe it's impossible to change the other's opinion People guard their political beliefs with their lives kinda so I just don't believe I or anyone can rlly change them through an argument on the internet, so I just don't try '^^ Third and finally, it's just rlly stressful to understand- I just wanna rawr and make Creepypasta headcannons, I don't have enough brainpower to understand the economy X'D That and everyone gets all mad and heated and starts screaming and then grudges get held and bLEEEH I just want everyone to get along! ';-; I hope my useless opinion helped? XD

i just can't talk about politics. literally anytime i try to bring anything up it starts and argument X_x

and when ppl bring religion into it..it gets worse not only because of religion but because 99% of the time christianity is brought up and i'm not even christian. so i stay away from those. besides almost all the time homophobia, transphobia, albiesm, and racism is involved and those are things that are really wrong and i honestly don't wanna talk about that :c

so yeah, i stay away from politics. and also @Mush_bRainz down below brought up a really good point

unfortunately for me, there’s this really big pick me girl group at my school. they literally are all super right-wing christian people, and i have to be careful about what i say around them. other than that, all of my friends are leftists so i feel comfortable talking to them about politics

I try not to talk abt politics with anyone because most of the time I get shut down or yelled at. It just becomes a nightmare when religion is involved.

omg i love talking about politics, thats awesome u have them as a special interest. im assuming ur friends probably avoid talking about politics because its a bit of a conversational taboo since it can start arguments, or maybe they just don't know much about them. the alt community is huge though, and there's a lot of people who i'm sure are just as passionate about politics as u are !

@xXToasted_treasureXx: fine agree to disagree lol but I would like to clerafy that I didn't mean you have to be activly invested in politics to be alternative but activly avoiding them betrays the meaning of the scene.
