so i wanna dress more alt but im kinda chubby and my parents are kinda strict on what i wear, i have like light brown hair and dont really wanna dye it and i dont even kno how i wanna dress but its kinda like emo/scene- i need style tips like so helppp

well for one thing, you can’t be alt without the music. There’s no getting around that. But just make it as true to you as it can be! Throw in some band tshirts and skinny jeans, tease your hair and you’re good to go! (From a real emo)

i live in a yee ye estate and wear medium-large sized clothes and pretty much everything i find at goodwill thats like super swag is in a small and when i do find something cool my mom (who was a emo kid like what) says that my dad wont let me wear it *sob* im trying to diy more cuz ik thats pretty much my gateway to dressing the way i dream abt, im trying to make a cuff rn but i kinda suck at it

u should def go to thrift stores but finding pllus sized clothing is hard lol. I usually buy mens clothes bc of it

some thrift stores have some cool alt stuff and it doesn’t seem too incriminating to parents too so u could ask them to go to savers or a local thrift store

being plus size and being alt is tricky because you often have a LOT of trouble finding plus size clothing in general, but ESPECIALLY for merch tshirts.

i suggest diy a lot !! there's tons of ideas on how to diy all over youtube - make pins with shrinky dinks or with old bottle caps you find, break out the markers and sharpies and pencils and draw your own logos for bands on plain shirts you get, and even make patches with old denim and paints !!

another fun idea is to look on depop or amazon. depop isn't the best, but you can at least filter the pricing and the sizes to be specific. depop usually has a fair amount of merch, but amazon normally has more choices.

you can also, obviously, make kandi for your favorite bands !! make singles or even cuffs with song titles, album colors and names, band names, band member names, and even references !! these are the most fun types of singles to make for me :] !!!

overall, just get creative and have fun !!!
