maybe not my place to comment because its not my subculture, but what do u guys think about lil uzi vert being/calling himself emo?

if its a genuine belief of his, and I could understand it even as someone who doesn't know much about him, even knowing some of his songs r considered rap/hip-hop, i think its kinda cool to have someone who is more well known even in normie culture to be open about calling himself emo, but what's yalls opinions on it? especially if u know stuff abt him/ur emo

@chanelle: theyre a domestic abuser and they also have multiple assault charges against other people. also they cite marilyn manson as their "biggest inspration" which might just be music wise but considering the other stuff + the fact that marilyn manson is a known n@zi Yikes

I don't think their emo, especially the music they make (they did collab with bring me the horizon recently though!!) and I feel like it just gives people a false sense of what emo is, but idk

@Trever_The_OutcastX3: rapper. theyre actually quite popular but if you dont keep up with rap music or current popular music you might not have heard of them (i used to keep up with it but then i just like. stopped. now im in my little bubble of Stuff I Like)

honestly i think lil uzi vert can be emo if they want. good for them. crossover stuff is cool and we should encourage more of it

that being said they are still a terrible person
