i think it would be better if ppl just used names (if u know the person) cus neo pronouns are starting 2 sound like names 2 me (maybe cus im dyslexic) no hate pls

Yeah i completely agree. Basic pronouns like I, me, my, this, they, he, she, it , i understand but just neos like catself or treeself just seem like nicknames not pronouns.

i hear the whole argument that english is always changing, but realistically not everybody is gonna change their language for other people,
especially when that change is taking words that have served a specific purpose for decades and suddenly completely changing their usage.
neopronouns seem overall pretty harmless as just another silly little subculture,
but i'll be damned if they're ever successfully integrated into society outside of the internet

@Spectator: doesnt matter. the english language is always changing a lot of words were made up in the shakeperian era (most made by the man himself!!) i asked my english techer the same thing and he just said that english always changes and as long as ppl are comfy, who cares?

interesting take but you also have to consider the fact that if you never use pronouns you're literally just saying the person's name constantly and, while i can fully understand people who don't use any pronouns (you're valid !!!), constantly saying the same name over and over can be tiring and just overall excessive. i don't mind it all, though! it's good practice for a person who doesn't use any pronouns at all.

i do get where youre coming from though and i understand it; a lot of different neos can very easily sound like names. i use over 50 sets and even my friends think my neos are one of my names because of how the sets are.
