i also asked this question over on my spacehey, but do you prefer forum sites like kandipatterns or recent ones like tiktok?

I love older forum sites. I find it comforting to interact with people on smaller and close community on these sites. And it's very hard to find huge jerks and other horrible people on sites like these. It's just a lot less stressful

old school forum sites definitely. it feels more home-y and charming to see a site like this one as opposed to the near-hostile corporate minimalism of things like Twitter, plus it's a much closer community overall with less needless discourse and stress

i like sites that function like this one better. instagram is ok but tik tok overwhelms my brain so dang much so if i wanna watch quick little interesting videos i gotta find a youtube compilation

old stuff!! less hateful people or its just less people in general!!! plus the added benefit of a close knit community.

tbh i like both but i prefer older forum sitez!! im obsessed with 2000z-2010z web culture so thiz feedz that, but also because itz just much lezz nerve racking posting thingz knowing not az many people can see your postz

i like the formats of modern social media, but i love the communities on forum sites and the ability to connect more with people ya know? i think there’s good aspects of both and idk if i rlly have a favourite between the two
