gender affirming haircuts

hello everyone !!

i’m an afab non-binary person, and i’ve been wanting to cut my hair short for a while. my entire life it’s been long, the shortest it’s ever been was about to my shoulders. it’s caused me a ton of dysphoria over the past few years, but right now it’s the worst it’s ever been.

currently it’s just a past my shoulders, but it’s very flat and straight. i want it to be short, but i’m not exactly sure on what style to get because of it being so straight.

does anyone have any style/cut ideas for short straight hair? any suggestions would be extremely appreciated. thank you, i love you guys !! <3 /gen

if you have a rounder face shape, i wouldnt reccoment getting any super short haircuts, like a pixie cut, or an undercut sort of thing. i feel as if those are best for more angular faces!
for rounder faces, longer pixie cuts work perfect!
basically just some sort of pixie cut is the safest way to go in this situation, especially if you arent out to your peers. plus, theyre really easy to style!

also, just letting you know, the first time getting your hair cut is never easy and it may not look exactly how you want it to look!! over time, you'll see what looks best on you, along with what makes you feel most comfortable!!

pixie cuts are pretty nice (and they're good if you aren't out) !!1 my hair is very straight too, but its grown out some and its very fluffy if thats what you want !!1
