How can you tie the end knot at the end to the cuff secury?

Hi so whenever I make a cuff I finish it by doing the ending knot. I cut the string but when I stretch it out to make sure it's secure the knot always comes undone. This has happened to me with 3 of my cuffs. I usually tie the end knot about 5 time and I use .5 stretch magic. It's odd because sometimes this happens to my knots and sometimes it doesn't... 14.gif

Tie a normal knot, twice. Then pull super hard and all the ends to make sure the knot wont come out. Then tie a few more knots, just to be sure. You can use clear nail polish or super glue if you wanna be extra sure it won't come un-done.

I tie an extra little piece of string...like an off cut next to the bead the string comes out of at the end and use that to tie off and it works really well for me...but if it just unties I would suggest cloth covered string like Crumpet said or putting something like glue or even nail polish (that works for me) over the knots.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfS6BaD6bPo&feature=youtube_gdata_player Watch how she ties the knots in this video. Best. Knots. Ever. Also, when tying knots, make sure to stretch your bracelet while tying, so that when you go to put it on, it's not too tight and comes undone.

Watch this to see a good comparison of plastic-like/rubber string (Bead n Stretch / Stretch Magic) and cloth elastic string: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Heti6wkknhs&t=1m5s She made the same bracelet with each kind of string, and the difference is very clear. Some people on here like to use the plastic string, and that's fine, but if you're having problems with it you should just try something else. You shouldn't need to tie the knot five times. I could get away with tying the knot twice with elastic string, but I normally do three knots just to be sure.

Stretch magic is horrible for that. I used it for a while and had to put glue on the knots to keep them together. And even with glued knots, the string would always stretch out and snap. Try using good quality cloth covered elastic string and you won't have this problem.
