You could make a regular star, and just like you would the 3d star you would stringThrough one of the points but instead of adding 3 you would add on 5, and increase by odd numbers as u go untill it's the size y want

Make a big-stitched x-base cuff but start bigger than a wrist cuff. Keep going up, just make it smaller as you go up and tie it off at the top.

there's also this way which is a little confusing at first but it's really simple in the end.

Here's a simpler way that you can complete a beanie as well

Here is an example of a complicated way to finish the top

beads and keep going all the way down, this is a less complicated way, but the beanie will be loose on your head as far as I know.

There are several different ways one can make a kandi beanie. My favorite and least likely to work out perfectly for every head is to start off by adding 5 beads to a large string, this means there will be 4 beads between the connector beads. You then keep filling the string with 5 beads each time until it fits perfectly around your head. You can also do this with 4 beads to have 3 between. From there you put a string through your connector bead and add the beads between each connector (if it was 5 bead start off you add 4 beads, if it was a 4 bead start off you add 3 beads) and then you pull the string through the next connector and so on until you get to the crown of your head, then you start to taper the beads down one size (which is why I start with 5 so I taper down to 3 beads between connectors) once you get to the very top of your head you find a creative way to close off the top. Some people do it in an opposite way though by starting by making a kandi star and then adding bead
