Question for other transmascs

For those of you who bind, do you prefer tape or a binder? And why? I'm curious to see and I think this might help people who are deciding between the two. Personally, it really depends. If I'm active I prefer the tape and I can wear to sleep/pool/shower which I can't do with my binder. Overall, I'd say tape even if my binder flattens slightly better. (I use KT tape for those of you wondering. Don't get that crappy target brand athletic tape.)

@catcore: i really wish i could get a gc2b binder but lowkey- i bought my binder myself from underworks. And gc2b is pretty pricy for kids and teens who don't go jobs but yeah ive seen people swim in gc2b i even embarrassed myself walking up to the person with a bloody knee and saying "you look cool" then limping off. But yeah thats right i guesd

@catcore: I have an underworks binder and it stretches out if it gets wet so I can't swim in it.

@catcore: The tape is a little hard to put on at first, but it gets easier. I believe kt tape makes one for sensitive skin.

@Brutus_711: i dont know much about tape, but gc2b's binders are swimmable! ive swam in my gc2b binder multiple times and it has held it's integrity for years, though i would suggest stretching it out or buying a used one if possible, and not swimming with a brand new one because it'll be a bit tight! i swim casually so im also not sure if it's safe for competitive swimming sad

ive only ever used a binder and not tape because my skin is very sensitive and i have sensory processing issues ^_^;; recently i havent been able to bind because of chronic pain, so i wonder if tape is easier to apply?

@Cl0wn_Tree: I believe it's ok as long as you're not wearing it too long, putting it on too tight, or using one with adhesive that's bad for your skin.
