Is it better to use fishing line for a kandi bag then stretchy string?

I only really use fishing line for the strap because that's really what holds it all up

Ive used fishing line for quite a few projects and I find it lasts longer that elastic. But thats my opinion

I don't use the fishing line, mainly because every time i have, it just breaks after a few months. I don't know if i just got a bad batch, but i just find the elastic to work better. (And also, coincidentally, the elastic is cheaper where i live, so that's a plus.

I'm making a backpack to use for school when it starts back up and I'm using 50lbs fishing line just to be safe. Its strong but I don't know how long it will last. Ive found that most elastic breaks without much pressure so I dont trust it for some things but I guess it depends on how well it works for you.

Im using .7mm stretchy elastic. Probably a terrible choice, but im really happy with it. Just a side note, im making a kandi bag as we speak.

I would use fabic elastic string. Isnt flimsy and if you tighten it properly as you work it will be taunt and not floppy. Crumpet has a link to good string on here under kandi help under kandi supplies, I would use the medium weight, its about 1mm while the heavy is 1.5 which is a bit harder to work with.
