@greeniegrave: I used that technique to make my kandi purse!! it's worked beautifully so far

okay so most of the time it can be the material of the string, if u don’t have the time to buy a different string i definitely recommend doing a specific knot called surgeons knot, usually works if it doesn’t then , AT YOUR OWN RISK you can use a lighter so it can melt !

hope this helps!

@mrbenzedrine: seconding a surgeon's knot! hasn't failed me. i usually do one knot, a surgeon's knot, then another knot.

@Magg0tS0up: I used gorilla glue and it works quite well, it just takes a while to dry. Great for singles though :

@postalsdude: I’ve been alternating between stretch cord and just elastic string - I don’t have access to fabric covered string, so when I use the more slippery elastic string and stuff it immediately falls out. I’ll keep trying tho, maybe I was tying it wrong

@mrbenzedrine: I’ve been alternating between stretch cord and just elastic string - I’ll try a surgeons knot on the rotator cuff I’m making rn

what type of string are you using? try doing a surgeon's knot, those tend to work on most stretchy strings

what type of string are you using? fabric covered string i tie 3-4 times over, a single double knot tends to fall loose. for plastic elastic, fishing line, etc square knots are best. theres easy tutorials online

Dont tie it too tight, be gentle with it, and use cloth covered stretch cord, and NOT clear plastic non-stretchy string
