Autism Coping?

Does anyone have any ideas for coping with teachers not listening to your needs? lessons too loud, ''look me in the eyes'', everyone is too close and too smelly, and on top of that having to focus on a complicated topic and when you don't understand they just get louder? i've tried to express how this makes me not able to work, but they don't listen :p

I'm super sorry that's happening to you, w04 But unfortunately because I'm homeschooled I can't give any tips but I can give advice??

You could have your parents/guardian talk to a teacher or principle about your needs and how they're disrespecting you which is against most school rules, Raising voices, Yelling, and Ending class over a minor thing is extremely not acceptable XC And noise canceling headphones during lunches?? (If your school allows it) And chewing gums or candy might help block out the smell?? Sorry if this wasn't helpful idk much but I hope it helps rainbowsmile

If you're in the US and got an official diagnosis, you can try getting a 504 plan, which legally requires them to make accommodations (while it's not a fix all, it's a good start). If your school has a counselor, even talking to them and see if they can help you out is a good step in increasing communication with teachers. Otherwise what helped me a lot when I was younger was taking as much advantage of breaks whenever possible (putting in my ear plugs and just zoning out as much as possible), and choosing seats in the corner/away from others

Good luck overall, being asd and in the school system sucks kao cry it gets better tho the older you get and the more freedom you get
