how on earth do people make long-term friends?

maybe it's just me being neurodivergent or an introvert or maybe something completely different but i literally cannot make and keep friends for longer than about a year before we either drift apart or have some falling out over something stupid and never talk again

god I hope I don't fall out with my bestie..... totally also not my crush anyway. we did softball go to the same school and kinda just have a lot in common like how are parents suck balls and all. You kinda just gotta find someone who shares the same or similar beliefs and kinda likes the stuff you like and you are kinda just willing to try and be BFFS and what not.but like find someone similar too you but also so they aren't like your clone because thats weird....
