For comments on posts like this a little message bubble pops up and for like DMs it's a little mail icon that's near your profile at the top right page. If you click on the mail icon you can check your mail!^^ Hope this helps

@andrewskandithing: You’ll either get a notification for it and you can click on it or there’s a messages tab in the user menu. If they aren’t showing up, idk about that

On someone’s profile, there’s a button that says “write message” right under their profile pic
