As long as the person is old enough to not swallow the beads, then i dont see why not. They would also really need to be old enough to have enough patience to make kandi.

I don't think so. One day I wore my kandi out and some of the kids that play around our apartment stopped me to look at them, and wanted me to teach them. I will warn you it's a bit hard trying to get them to understand some things, though (they were looking at the big cuffs I had and wanted to learn to make that, gah!) but it's actually kind of sweet teaching them.

Well, im 13 and ive been making kandi since I was 11, I don't go to raves or anything but I trade and its turned into a good hobby for me, I don't think theres really and age limit to kandi and start out on a slow pace, don't try to make a backpack when you start, try to do a few small peyotes. But no there is no age limit, to young or to old doesn't matter.

I just said something similar to this in another question, but: kandi is essentially pony bead jewelry, and it's very common for little kids to make pony bead jewelry. Kids were making it long before the word "kandi" came into existence. So yeah, I would say it's fine to let him make stuff as long as he's mature enough to not eat the beads or choke on them, lol. Just make sure it's at an appropriate skill level. Don't try to start him out making 3Ds or something laughing
