I have this artist I really like and admire a lot, and I wrote a song once bc it just came to me and now I'm contemplating whether I should or shouldnt send it to him, since I really have no use for it. On one hand, it fits his genre and I would really just love to be a part of his music, even if it's something small like lyrics. On the other hand, I'm incredibly nervous about this, and really scared he'll reject it (in a mean way). Plus, I'm also thinking that if I even debut as an internet musician, I would want to use that song. I've already asked my closest friends about this and, sadly they really weren't any help.

What do you think I should do? Should I send it to him? Should I just keep it to myself for future reference? Should I just write another song for him? 513b3952851d7_shrug.gif

I would prob hold on to the song but I would prob ask them for some constructive criticism on how I could improve on it for the future! kao happy

@clyde_infestation: he does incelcore music and I did ask him about if he was making merch once and he was pretty nice about it (dk if this is revelevant but he hearts basically every comment on his songs on YT)

Drop them a note first and ask if they're interested in looking at songs. They will almost certainly like hearing from you, but some artists prefer to do their own work, and some can't look at submissions for legal reasons.

I would probably hang onto it for now, and wait to see if there's anything else you want to make changes to until you decide to use/send it
