Anyone know how to clean a peach pit?

I have a peach pit that i want to make a necklace out of but first i have to figure out how to get the peach remnants off. Any suggestions on how to do that? Also if u know how to prevent mold that would be great but its not my main concern atm. Thanks!!

maybe try using a toothpick or an old toothbrush? ive never cleaned out a peach pit b4, so idk if it will work. also, maybe try paining resin/modge podge on the pit to preserve it too. once again, ive never done this b4, so idk if it will work. good luck!!
