I’ve always appreciated scene, Kandi and rave but was never confident enough to allow myself to be free with it >~<

now that I’m older, it’s making a bit of a comeback but I don’t wanna seem like I’m a newb who’s appropriating the culture surrounding it coming in with this new wave T~T

What can I do to not seem disrespectful? Is this something I should even be worried about?

Any replies at all are much appreciated!!

just follow the PLUR rule! learn the handshake if u wanna trade kandi, its a really good way to integrate into the rave/kandi scene.

also just be yourself! put yourself out there!

USA/Canada- check https://edmtrain.com/ for smaller local raves if you want to. Join local groups who host raves and such. make sure to be safe and all of course. tell people where you're going, have backup plan, etc. BRING EARPLUGS FOR THE LOVE OF YOUR HEARING PLEASE

kandi- tbh you can just buy a box of beads and string and do whatever lmao. have fun

just have fun!!! our (ravers/kandi kids) motto is PLUR so as long as u follow that your good! if u didn’t already know it stands for peace, love, unity and respect so as long as u do those four ur good!!! don’t forget to show off ur creativity!! also don’t be afraid to trade! it’s a great way to make fellow raver friends!!! bright colors are ur best friend!!! to get more into the rave part make sure to listen to some edm!!! also if ppl r gonna judge u for it, so what!! u do this bc it makes u happy and no one can take that away from u!! hope this helped!!!!rainbowsmile
