Perler melt style opinions?

I've seen perler stuff melted different ways. Sometimes they're melted fully and no holes are visible, and sometimes the holes are still there.

Soooo which way do you prefer? Or, which type of melting is easier to do for you? 514c8a1d78872_w05.gif

Personally, I usually like the look of the holes for finished perlers, but sometimes I do think fully melted perlers look pretty nice too. I just find it much easier to leave the holes there too, so I rarely try to melt them closed. 514c8a290c47d_w30.gif

(also btw, sorry if I'm saying things weird. I don't really know any super specific perler terminology (if there is any), so if there's a name for different perler related melting things and stuff, I don't really know any of it)

Depends on what I want it to look like tbh. I don't really have a specific "formula" for making it always look nice or even though.
