I always buy a clear case and make an elaborate sticker collage on the back of the phone. Current phone is kissing cops and jellyfish. The old one was a big CRIMER sticker, with spilled coffee washi tape to make no one want to touch it. (Some people in big cities will cover expensive equipment like cameras with layers of horrible duct tape to make them look disgusting and valueless.)
