I bought old computer games

I am still recovering from surgery.

But I bought all the Freddy fish, pajama Sam, and spy fox games.

Teaching my kids to play point and clicks has been hard

aah, i loved Freddi Fish back in the day! i had the one about the missing kelp seeds. i didn't have any of the Pajama Sam point and click adventures, but i did have the spinoff puzzle game Sock Works, and a couple of demos for Pajama Sam and Spy Fox games. also Putt Putt Saves the Zoo... that was a classic.

speaking of old games on Steam, did you know they have a remastered version of the Logical Journey of the Zoombinis? one of my ultimate childhood faves, and still challenging even as an adult once you get to the higher difficulties tongue

i'm sure these kinds of games are a very different skillset than what most kids are used to these days, though i guess it also depends on how old they are. they just gotta learn how to get in the right mindset!

@erraticMusician: you could set up a VM (virtual machine) and figure out how to run the files in that! Either that or the CD files corrupted... it can happen sometimes, sadly. I'm sure like Peanut you could get them off Steam or the Internet Archive perhaps.

@Peanut: !!! i didn't even realize that existed, hello new little bundle of games for me lol. i just like collecting old hardware too lol, sad my og copy is obsolete ig

i loved freddy fish so much! i found my old cds recently of freddy fish but even my oldest laptop wouldn't run the software because it's so old crying

glad you're feeling good enough to teach your youngins about the classics, hope the rest of your recovery goes smooth
