my moms co-worker just gave me a baby Chicken.

its name is Nugget

Hello, Nugget! They make excellent pets. You might want to find a vet who's comfortable with chickens before you need one.

I wanted to get a hedgehog once, but the nearest hedgehog vet was two states away. Happily chicken vets are everywhere.
