How do you make a choker fit on a neck. Do you have to have a clasp on it or does the elastic cord stretch that far around head and then close back. Also if it does what kind of stretch cord do you use.

I love making chokers

I just roll out elastic cord around my neck so I can judge how much I need (always go a little longer for tying purposes)then yeah, cut string, bead away and tie off

I like Elastic cord from Walmart for sturdier pieces (cuffys and such) there's a spool of stretchy cord at Joanns that I like for my chokers and other necklaces
