hiii i dont know anything ab like what otherkin means so I rlly rlly rlly wanna learn but i dont really know how to ask/who to ask??

so can u guys like lmk what it means also like idk the proper wording but what r ur kins?? is that the right way to say it??

@transmascichigo: I've never heard "media" used, just "kin" and "kintype" and stuff. i don't really see the difference between using system terms and slightly altered system terms tbh....not that i care. either way. -a system.

theres some carrds and wiki stuff in other comments but one thing is dont use system terms such as ¨source¨ and instead use ¨media¨. same goes for sourcemate vs mediamate. just be careful what terms you use!

hihi!!! im otherkin!! im polykin, which means i have multiple kintypes!! my kintypes are in my carrd :3

pretty much, an otherkin is a person who identifies as nonhuman, typically as being wholly or partially an animal or mythical being. (thats the google definition) , but some otherkins don't really identify as nonhuman! personally i do, i feel as if im not a human, and that i am trapped in the wrong body, and that i am truly meant to be one of my kintypes, but a lot of otherkins simply believe they were a certain animal/thing/character in a past life and/or they are a animal/thing/character spiritually! being otherkin is mostly a spiritual thing, but sometimes its simply just a "i really enjoy and/or relate to this animal/thing/character so much to the point where i have such a strong connection with that said animal/thing/character"some otherkins also believe their identity has some connection to reincarnation, like they were meant to be reincarnated as a certain animal/thing/character!

people often use the term "kin" when relating to something (more specifically a character), but the actual term is click! (ex : oh my god i click this character so hard!), kin means being connected to something spiritual, click means to just relate to something in a non-spirtiual way!

being otherkin has a lot of different meanings, and it really depends on the person and as to why they're otherkin, but most of the time it's simply just a spiritual thing! its okay to still not understand, otherkin definitely is a bit confusing, but just be respectful abt it n us otherkins will respect u <3!!
