i go nonverbal sometimes and i have multiple friends who do too, so (i’m assuming this is at school) tell your friends that this is something that happens sometimes to you, make sure they understand what it means when you go nonverbal and then when you go nonverbal, type or write that that’s what’s happening and then just use writing/typing to communicate

that’s generally what i do and it is so annoying because i’ll want to talk but just not be able to

as for at home, i’m not sure how to help. if you can, try talking to your parents about your neurodivergence (if they don’t already know about it) and then try and explain what it means to go nonverbal, so that you can just explain that that’s what’s happening when you go nonverbal. at home, you can also use apps and stuff for communication and if your parents know about you going nonverbal they could also contact your school and you could get accommodations for it/get communication cards for school/etc.

hopefully this helped :]

Idk if this would help but communication cards/apps might help! You could use cards and/or an app to communicate that you're nonverbal and other things as well!
