i improved alot by watching art videos and just practicing alot and also using references!! it helps to watch multiple people who make art tutorial videos so you can figure out which techniques you like best.

for drawing humans i just start out with basic shapes and go off that, it also really helps to have references for the pose youre trying to do!

you should also study anatomy, lighting, color theory, and stuff like that! it helps alot!!

you also shouldnt be afraid to ask for criticism or compare yourself to other artists! some criticism can be annoying and comparing yourself to others can make you feel bad sometimes but it can help you improve and find new techniques.

if you want i can give you more advice on how to improve!! i like helping people with art and ive been drawing for 6+ years so i know quite a bit.

it’s so weird you just have to draw, like just do it no matter how bad it looks just draw whatever you want. don’t copy don’t nothing just draw, that’s what i did

I think the best way to start out is to watch speedpaints on artists you like and see how they draw and try to copy them, then try to form your own art style from that :3 thats how i learned

i watched a lot of art tutorials when i was little. my art looked... typical for a 12 yr old who likes anime, for a long time. but i just kept drawing, and i picked up on different things from a bunch of different artists (lavendertowne and echo gillette really influenced me!!) and i got. decent-ish. there's not really *a way* to learn how to draw. you don't have to draw every day or follow any specific tutorials, but do learn from other artists, and do draw. and keep ur old art so you can see how much you're improving cuz even if you don't think you're improving, with every drawing you're learning. even if it's a terrible drawing! it's a process.

i draw an upside down egg and then give it circles with shapes inside them for eyes and i do a little normal smile but erase the middle of it. theats like the easiest way to explain how i draw faces but i don't think it'll help at all

i sold my soul to be able to draw/j

but /srs i had a friend teach me the basics and then watched lots of vids on youtube n kinda copied artstyles from my favorite shows to learn more about stylization and eventually wound up with my very own art style kao yes i also drew every day and just practiced the little stuff like drawing lines and basic shapes well
