Happy Hispanic heritage month

I should’ve posted this yesterday, but I forgot. Shout out to all my Hispanic/latino folks out there!!

I hope y’all are having a good time and feel connected to your culture and heritage wether it’s through family or friends, food, music, dance, art, language, and love, etc. I hope you enjoy it and are having a good time.

And a reminder that you are still valid even if your mixed, don’t speak Spanish or aren’t bilingual, even if you can’t dance, or anything that might make you feel not enough o be able to celebrate your culture and heritage.514c877238924_rainbowsmile.gif513b39526713b_happy.gif513b39525d246_dance.gif

Weon que bonito, no tenía idea de que se celebraba esto, weon me emocioné de verdad

For me September is a very beautiful time, it’s feels full of color and happiness when this month arrives, I honestly have no idea that a Hispanic day would be celebrated or exist (y weon realmente me disculpo, soy una ignorante total) generally in September I aware of my country and its national holidays and I don’t look away to see the rest of the countries in September, if I’m honest I have never seen the celebrations of other countries but I always remember the rest of the countries that celebrate in this month. I have always wanted to see the 16 of Mexico or the 7 of Brazil, or the 15 for people from Central America

Weno, the last thing I wanted to say is that I’m so excited for the 18, since it’s the national holiday in my country, but in reality are 3 or 4 days of celebration

Feliz 18 cabros :

Aro, Aro, Aro

Brindo por la chicha

Brindo por la empaná

Brindo porque ando puro hilando baba

I added the last bit kinda as a reminder to myself because I often feel distant from my Hispanic roots since I’m not fully Mexican and I don’t know/speak enough Spanish and I hardly even know my mom’s side of the family. And I’ve never been to a quinceañera or any sort of party and I don’t know how to do the iconic dances. But nevertheless I’m still Hispanic and I love that part of me.
