What am I (an amiture) doing wrong?

I will put on some of my 2 row cuffs and they will snap. javascript:; I've tried making it looser and that didn't help. I am beginning to wonder if it's the way I tie them but i'm not sure...

you can try tying a knot after every row and putting clear nail polish over the knots

If they're not snapping at your knots, it might be because of the string you're using. Certain types and brands of string snap more than others. If you're using plastic string, try cloth covered or vice versa. You could try a different brand too.
