Anyone use the simplyplural website? We need help with something

We recently started using the simplyplural website (we can't get the app since our parents have to approve our apps). We figured out how to do everything but upload avatars.

You have to use a url instead of just normally uploading it like the app can, but every time I try to use a url, it doesn't show up.

Does anyone know how to correctly upload the avatar photo url?

Sorry, you are unable to reply. If the thread is still open, you might have been blocked from commenting due to spam or abuse, or we might not have been able to verify that you are a real account. Try updating your profile and interacting more on the site. There are greater restrictions on forum comments due to spam. Spam comments will still not be published, even for verified accounts

Just checked it out. I only know it works for discord, if you have it, im not sure if it'll work for anything else. Post the image in discord, click the image to open it. Click to share it, then copy url. That worked for me when put into the avatar url thing. Also if you have discord, check out plural kit. We use it and it works great! - Sal colorfulhearts

I don’t use that site, but if it’s helpful: that same issue sometimes happens with the image URL import feature in the pattern maker. If you’re sure the URL ends in .gif or .jpg etc, the image host might be blocking remote embeds of the image. If that’s the case, you need to host it on a place that allows embeds (and ensure it’s still a direct link ending in .jpg etc). If you’ve done all that then it might be a genuine bug and you may need to contact the developers.

maybe imgur? whenever you have to upload something to show an image that usually works !!

@randalscoffin: I'm pretty sure. It's saying the URL is valid, but the image doesn't actually show up. I've tried clicking "copying image address", I've tried copy and pasting the URL from the top of the screen, I've tried alot of stuff.


What specific way do you do it (if you use the website)?

are you copying the photos url? if youre just copying the image then that might be the issue, otherwise im stumped! - nitrous
