how to make kandi not tight

DUK3NUK3M 6/1/2022 12:35 pm 843

hi. i made some kandi bracelets, but they are tight on my wrist. (having tight things on my wrist makes me paranoid and is kinda a sensory issue to me) does anyone know how to stretch it out a bit without breaking it?

Hi! I don' t think there' s gonna be a way to stretch them without undoing it a bit, but always use more string than you think you need

i find knotting my stuff tightly always makes the circumference smaller than expected- of course knots need to be tight, so ive started making singles with at least 30 beads so theyre nice and wide and dont put pressure on my wrists. they may seem huge but once you tie them off theyll be comfortable

try not to pull it tight when you tie it! I find that leaving it unstretched (when you tie it off) but not increasing the amount of beads makes it sit a bit more comfy and more stretchy to wear

Maybe add more beads? Like say your wrist is about 26 beads, you could bump it up to 28?

Your kandi will stretch over time, but I suggest stretching it a little bit each day by pulling it (not really recommended if you aren't using fabric cord--as I said, it stretches over time by itself).
