I was given the name sunshine when I went to my first rave because I had a huge smile on my face and it just stuck I’m just happy it was something I was already used to being called
My first rave name.. way back in 99' was Chewi (Chewbacca) since I could do the growl perfectly and I had a ton of fun doing it in people's ears cause it would freak em out. (in a good way xD)After I fell out of the scene, and lost the ability to growl (took too long to quit smoking.. dont do it kids its bad bad)
I decided to get back into the scene and start back doing some DJ'ing so when I decided on my new name for DJ'ing I decided to just use that for my rave name as well, since I would be meeting people anyway, might as well network at the same time I kinda felt like it wouldn't be proper to revive the old name though, since it had been so long. (I do tell people I see from back in the day that I was Chewi) I picked the name StarShak3r pretty much because of Sailor Moon and the StarLights.I always felt like I was a completely different person once I got to the club. I'm normally super reserved and introverted, but once that soundwave takes over, its like a completely different me emerges. (if you ever read the manga you'll know what I mean about the Starlights)So.. in homage to Sailor Star Fighter, Sailor Star Healer, and Sailor Star Maker.. I picked StarShaker (but I had to use a 3 cause some bar utensil company has the other one so i couldn't make a webpage lol)Plus it kinda fits in with the whole PsyTrance thing I double-love PsyTrance, Tech Trance, and anything with a flyaway arpeggio in it (Think Escape by Kaycee)<3 1 Love-StarShaker- (with a 3)
My pals call me sunny cuz im always smiling
Before I even started raving I was given the name Lil' Mermaid because I have super long red hair. It didn't really stick. Well I started raving and every time I introduced myself I'd say "My name is Symon!" and people would say "Oh like Simon Says?" and it was a repeated thing ALWAYS and I started getting tired of it lol
But one day I started introducing myself "My name is Symon. Like Symon Says!" and all of my friends around me were like "That's it! Your rave name is Says!"
I dont really have a rave name yet because Im super new to the community but I try to get people to call me by my cosplay name, Moose-chan. Theres no rave scene where I live so Ive only gone to 3 ):
Mine (Kandikid55) actually started as a basic user/handle for stuff and eventually people online just started calling me Kandi and it just stuck so ya like 7 years later I still go by it.
They call me a few things, The Reaper or Shadow Reaper, all are because I fashion my own Scythes and dance with them as well as walk across and around festival grounds with them/ scare people with them. It feels awesome people always recognize me and yell "REAPER!" I even went to a show where they literally wrote a song about me, On top of always carrying a scythe I also design my own awesome costumes to go with my dark and scary makeup- if i wear any clothes at all-- xD
I've had a few rave names actually! My first was Breezy and I didn't really know about rave names at that time, but this guy used to call me that all the time and I didn't really talk to anyone else. My second was given to me by my fiancé, Zipper. I never really felt like that fit well, then I was at a party chatting with this hardcore DJ from TX and he said "I love you Brenna, you are like the queen of the bros! You're Bronna!" and I just loved that <3
I'm friends with a few ravers, a couple called "Scammer" and "Doobie". Since I'm still young, at 17, but have a strong passion for raving, i got called "Kotton Kandi" since I'm so sweet and young, but I've been trying to come up with a one-word name, and once considered "Molly" or "Mandy" but not sure if that's appropriate? Even though it fits my happy personality lol
