idk let people watch what makes them happy as long as they arent directly supporting their content, idk pirate peoples shit if it means you arent giving actual p3d0s money. if someone says they like something or it makes them happy that doesnt mean they support it. my bf kins c! schalatt and tommy and he's been yelled at so many times. idk i feel like people are a bit harsh on mcyt (WAYYY to harsh actaully) because a few are bad people. literally educate people instead of taking them as being transphobic and then putting "X supporters dni". im not gonna lie, i've said really fucked up shit against minorites i should'nt have said but educating myself on subject, people around me educating me and letting me change as a person helped me get out of that pattern of thinking. If i constantly had thousands of people shitting on me all the fucking time about a terrible ass thing i said against someone then yeah, i probably wouldve been a closeted bigot but people not seeing me for my mistakes but seeing me from my change really helped. These people are bold enough to put parts of their opions online and instead of helping them you just put them in a DNI and say "u said something realllllyyy stupid and we believe you cannot change at all from this.". idk i used to be in dsmp and my bf currently is so i guess this topic is really important to me.

@Sleepy_Loss: YEAH EXACTLY, like, do people not realize most fans ARE apart of the groups a lot of the members have offended? most of us can accept apologies, and most of us hold our favs accountable. the only reason people view the dsmp fandom as "toxic" is because everyone believes bait accounts, or focuses on the toxic side (which honestly, is getting smaller, i havent met/seen a srs stereotypical dsmp fan in a LONG time.

dsmp antis often don't let themselves see point of views that aren't their own. they often don't allow growth from both creators and fans, and its stupid.

in my opinion, i dont care, and neither should you. everybody, and everything, is problematic in some sort of way. nobody, and nothing, is "unproblematic", we've all made mistakes/done something messed up, and thats just being a living person.

of course, when it comes to people like schlatt, fundy, minx, etc, where their behaviors are repeated over and over again, it shows that they don't truly mean any sort of apology, and that they are genuinely shitty people, then something should be done about it, and they should be held accountable, but when it comes to things like "oh this person is problematic by association", or getting upset at someone bc of something they did back in 2013 (especially if they've apologized and or shown that they've changed) , thats bullshit. as long as someone isn't directly copying that creators bad behavior, and are able to see that they are a bad person, why do you care?

we all like problematic things, and everyone has made some sort of mistake that would deem them problematic, like what you wanna like, watch what you wanna watch, play whatever games you wanna play, in the end, it doesn't matter. jschlatt, mihoyo (the company that runs genshin), the dsmp, cookie run, homestuck, and anything else thats been deemed problematic, are most likely not going to exist in about 50 years, so who cares that someone likes them now? enjoy what you want to enjoy, and don't dictate other peoples lives. we should all just let everyone like what they wanna like, and move on. if you don't like something, thats super valid! but don't shit on people who do like it, even if that fandom/thing is seen as problematic. the block button exists, so if you're that mad at someone for an interest, BLOCK THEM. it is that simple. do not hate on them, or even worse, d0xx them/send death threats. I know I'm going to get shit for this, but honestly, idc.

TLDR; let people like what they wanna like, and move on. we all like problematic things, so just stop hating on people because they like something thats "more problematic", if you're mad because someone likes something, just block them. stop hating on people for an interest, it goes against the whole idea of PLUR <3
