Is it ok to make kandi

I'm new to kandi and i'm in love with it , it's a lot of fun but i've never gone to a rave am i still allowed to make it ?

Edit : Thanks for the answers i was'nt sure but i'm happy now

i couldnt go to a rave because of sensory sensitivities but i like making kandi thxx

hell yeah! I’m way under going to raves and stuff! Kandi is for everyone it’s it’s own kanji kulture! Yes it’s also rave culture but kandis it’s own god damn thing!

yes you can, its not a craft thats only for ravers, Ive never been to a rave either, i just make kandi for fun and because i enjoy doing it

(also if anyone gatekeeps kandi just because you've never been to a rave, they are stupid.)

Ofc!! It's one of those things that anyone can do no matter what it's for ^^ I've never been to a rave either, but I still make kandi pretty much every day :3

yeah! ofc! kandi is for everyone.

no one is gonna be mad at you for putting beads on string if you've never been to a rave, that would be a dumb thing to be mad about.

also, like the other ppl said make sure to follow plur!

just make sure you understand that PLUR (peace, love, unity, and respect) is the way of kandi culture!

(also over the past decade, kandi has slowly evolved into something not just for ravers, and has became a part of many fashion subcultures! however, you don't even need to be a part of any particular subculture. its for everyone!)

also, kandi gatekeepers are the absolute worst. they claim to follow plur but then go "NO! YOU'RE NOT APART OF THIS SUBCULTURE, SO YOU CAN'T PUT PLASTIC BEADS ON ELASTIC CORD! GRRGRGGRGRRRRR"
