how 2 stick 2 playing an instrument??

hi so idk i recently have rly felt like picking up ukulele bc i have 1 but uh im rly bad @ being committed 2 things and idk a lot of ppl on here play instruments/make music so uh any advice on how 2 like stick w it haha

Last year my music teach gave me a keyboard bc it was like broken but i went to this place and they fixed it rlly cheap, anyway i found a song that i wanted to play so i used being able to play that song as motivatin yk? I mean you cab also like incoperte it into your daily sheduale to practice a certain ammt every day

@pastawater: thx 4 the tip!! the last time i tried 2 get into playing ukulele i never rly played songs i actually liked ig?? just ones that wuld help me learn but i feel like i wuld enjoy it a lot more if im learning 2 play songs i like happy

I currently play 2 instruments (percussion for concert band and ukulele for home/self learning). These methods are pretty useful for me but I’m unsure about others

I try to find positives about it. A few examples: You could find and learn really cool songs that are familiar to you or others, if you’re confident enough you could perform at a show or family gathering

Another thing I use (it’s worked for me because I have lots of free time) is finding videos. There’s a really nice yt channel where I learn a bunch of songs (it’s called easy ukulele tabs). You could make a playlist with songs you want to learn.

If you are able to, taking a class for it may help

Having that bit of responsibility of attending will make sure that you try and practice
