how do you do the straps on a kandi mask w/out beads?

the tutorials i watched a while ago always used beads for the straps, but my masks never fit & fall off my ears that way- so how do you do it without beads?? is it just elastic? help D:

probably like 2mm cord would work or reused disposable mask straps

for some of my masks, i would use the straps off of a disposable mask (like the blue ones, id just rip it off), and you could probably double it too if you want :]
