do you iron both sides or do you leave one side with the waffle pattern? What do you do if you can’t get the holes to close? What’s the best option to use with a common fabric iron? Does steam help at all?

Hi!

I personally iron both sides but it’s a personal choice.
i dont iron the holes all the way shut, that way there some space to put em on jewelry etc + it’s pretty hard to get em all the way shut lol.

I probably won't be able to answer all these, but I can try!

Its usually just personal preference for ironing one side or both. I usually do one, as I like to keep one side with the more "pixilated" look, but doing both sides can make it sturdier

Usually if the holes aren't closing, the iron isn't hot enough, or you're going to fast. it can take some time, sometimes!

Again this is mostly preference/all irons are different, or seem to be different. Like for me, I have to put my iron to its highest setting, while some barely need to go half way. I'd make some smaller projects and try yours, starting on the lower end. You'll find what works for you and get comfortable with it.

Steam won't help, and can actually mess with the project and it might not iron correctly. There's really no upside to it.

I'd recommend maybe watching some videos about it, or going on the perler website, I'm pretty sure they have some instructional things on it. raccoon
