Waste and fast fashion in the alt/kandi community.

I've been seeing this problem a lot in members of alt communities, myself, and even some people I know. The question I keep asking myself is "how do i do the things I enjoy without creating large amounts of waste?". I feel like in subcultures where fashion does play a part, we need to be conscious that we aren't going overboard on things that will eventually end up in a landfill. Now, I know people have financial difficulties, I don't care if people buy a few things that they will genuinely use. I'm talking about big hauls of clothes. There is no ethical consumption, but we can try to limit the amount that we play into it.

Another thing that I guess i'd like advice on (shocker) is how to use beads without them eventually going to waste? I suppose i could just reuse pony beads, but the perlers aren't exactly reusable. I'm not sure.
