will a new thread make my cuffs less loose?

I've been using from cheap 1mm plastic stretchcord from joann but it suckks , it also knots very big

all my cuffs made with it end up loose and lack shape (especially my flower cuff)

i recently ordered fabric stretch cord from beadtin, im wondering if a change in string will help my cuffs be more ,, better . im very new to cuffs but when i try bigger cuffs or longer projects that require tying new string (plastic stretchcord won't tie to extend , too slippery 2.gif ) i want them to atleast look good

i know im doing things right and tightening often so im mildly frustrated . i want to do kandi but me and crafting has a badd relationship

I had this problem too!

the cloth-covered stretch-cord worked better for me. it makes tighter nots since the layers of cloth can kind of dig into each other
