no, but i have for ADHD

my mum knew when i was like 5 but i only started being sus when i was 12, then i was dianosed when i was 14

1) Strength training, plus a much weirder lifelong one which I don’t really want to go into, sorry.

2) Yes, in 2016. As a kid, I had noticeable issues and received help with emotions and social skills in school, but autism wasn’t known about so I was labeled as “naughty” by a psychologist and my parents were told to punish me even more than they already were. Luckily, a counselor spotted it in me as an adult and referred me for diagnosis.

3) Only autism-specific talking therapy. Not ABA or anything.

5) It depends on the circumstances. Sometimes there’s nothing I can do and nothing helps. But my Squease pressure vest has stopped at least one meltdown and probably prevented many more, or made them less serious. Deep pressure really helps me. Also, working out and getting fitter has increased my confidence and reduced how quickly I get overwhelmed by certain things, which has reduced the number of meltdowns I have. It’s not a cure but it has definitely had a noticeable effect.

6) Well my aunt read an article about Asperger’s in the late 90s and gave it to my mum because it sounded so much like me. And I knew about that at the time but shrugged it off. I didn’t suspect it for myself until I was in my 20s, but I would never have sought diagnosis myself. I couldn’t see all of the traits in myself, and I thought my social skills were better than they were. Then when I was diagnosed, the psychologist had checked literally every possible box that could have been checked, symptom wise xD I needed 10/18 checked for this particular assessment to be diagnosed, and I had 18/18.

I have not been diagnosed because my diagnosis is taking process time

yes because my parents and I heavily suspect and I endured a lot of trauma

so I breathe, I look around the room and study something that i know has a good texture. then once I'm done studying it I'm usually calmer than before.
